Turkmenistan and Georgia discussed cooperation in international motor transportation

The delegation of Turkmenistan, headed by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Communication, took part in the second meeting of the Turkmen-Georgian Commission on International Motor Transportation which took place in Tbilisi.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged general information, statistics on trade turnover and motor transportation scope between the two countries. The Georgian delegation, led by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of the country, reviewed with Turkmen colleagues the ways to improve the conditions for carriers, create the competitive environment, as well as issues related to visas and tariffs.

The Commission members outlined the prospects for development of cooperation in the field of international motor transportation in order to expand the economic partnership of the two countries.

During the visit, members of the Turkmen delegation got acquainted with the experience of the customs and tax services of Georgia, and took part in the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.
